Chapter 01 — The House

A quiet house for sacred things.

Founded in Ulaanbaatar, Zanbazaar gathers original paintings, hand-bound books and ritual objects from Mongolian artists and scholars. Each piece is selected for its devotion to craft and its place within a living tradition — Vajrayana Buddhism, the script of Soyombo, the colours of the steppe.

Chapter 04 — Tradition

On tradition.

The name Zanbazaar honours Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar (1635–1723) — the first Bogd Jebtsundamba and the most influential sculptor and scholar of Mongolian Buddhism. We carry that name with care: every object in our shop is offered as part of a continuing conversation between maker, scholar and reader.

“Art is the silent language with which a people speaks to its ancestors and its children.”
